International Pizza Expo™ 2007

International Pizza Expo® 2007 was THE place to be with something for everyone in the pizza industry. When the show closed on Thursday, March 22, close to 6,000 attendees had roamed an exhibit hall the size of five football fields and you could feel the excitement in the air.

Motivated buyers filled the show floor aisles, seminar rooms were overflowing, and special events added just the right amount of fun for all.


	On Day One (Tuesday) we opened the show with a keynote address from one of the pizza industry’s most respected leaders – Craig Moore, president of CiCi’s Pizza. Preliminaries for the Italian Chef Wars™ were held and World Pizza Games® Trials began.

	Day Two (Wednesday) began with a keynote from Pizza Today’s 2006 Independent of the Year, the partners of Farrelli’s Wood Fire Pizza. The Pizza Festiva® competition was held as well as the finals for the Italian Chef Wars™. The World Pizza Games® Trials concluded. The climax of this special day included the World Pizza Games® Finals and a rockin’ party for attendees and exhibitors with food, drink, music, and fun. The winners of Pizza Festiva® and Italian Chef Wars™ were announced at the party.

	Highlights of Day Three (Thursday) included the introduction of a new competition – the International Pizza Challenge™. The winners from the Northeast Pizza Challenge represented Pizza Today™ in this new pizza-making competition. And the show closed with the drawing for the $20,000 MEGA BUCKS Giveaway.
