International Pizza Expo® — the Show of Shows for the Pizza Industry — is THE place to do business, to learn, to network and to deal. On Day One (Monday) we will offer special programming for new operators and early-arriving attendees. The sessions, free to all registered attendees, include Power Panel I, a roundtable featuring owner-operators who've been named Pizza Today Independent Pizzerias of the Year, as well as a seminar track for new operators (with sessions on branding, marketing and avoiding common mistakes) and a Pizzeria Concept Showcase (with presentations by six super-successful operators). The day concludes with a reception open to all attendance.
Day Two (Tuesday), the Exhibit Hall opens, but activity gets underway early with a 7:45 a.m. keynote from Donatella Arpaia, a Food Network personality and pizzeria owner in New York City. Preliminary rounds of the International Pizza Challenge™ take place from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., and the World Pizza Games® Trials will be held during approximately the same time frame on their stage on the show floor. We'll offer 25-plus education seminars given by expert pizza operators and industry experts, as well as cooking demonstrations and a late-afternoon Beer & Bull Idea Exchange®.
Highlights of Day Three (Wednesday) include a keynote morning kick-off by the Pizza Cuz (Sal Basile and Francis Garcia), who have traveled the U.S. in search of great and unusual pizzas from the Cooking Channel. The preliminary rounds of the International Pizza Challenge will continue and the World Pizza Games Trials conclude. There will be another 25-plus seminars, cooking demonstrations and Beer & Bull. And you won't want to miss our 30th Birthday Bash, a street party-style celebration featuring two entertainment stages, food and drink booths, games, contests and the finals of Freestyle Dough-Tossing competition.
Day Four (Thursday) the show wraps up with Exhibit Hall hours from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Finals of the International Pizza Challenge, culminating in the Pizza Maker of the Year contest, will take place, and the show will close with the drawing for the $20,000 MEGA BUCKS Giveaway. The morning will start with a special seminar appearance by Big Dave Ostrander, followed by All-Operator Thursday sessions given by your fellow pizza professionals on highly focused business subjects.
