Help Us Celebrate the Centennial of Pizza in America!
The first licensed pizzeria in American was opened in New York City 100 years ago this year, but Chicago holds claim to the first truly American version of pizza. After months of experimentation, Ike Sewell and partner, Ric Ricardo, came up with the now famous Chicago deep-dish pizza and opened Uno's Pizzeria in 1941. And the rest is history.
If any city in America deserves it's own Pizza Expo™, it's got to be Chicago. Since 2001, Chicago Pizza Expo™ has proudly presented a pizza-only showcase of more than 200 booths providing the opportunity to touch, taste and see hundreds of new products on display and to talk with hundreds of manufacturers connected to the pizza industry. This year's show is no exception.
In addition to pizza-focused educational seminars to support your business and improve your bottom line, we're offering you the opportunity to Mix Up Dough Like a Pro at Dough U. See the Conference Schedule for information about this exciting new educational opportunity. And that's not all. For the first time, we are holding World Pizza Game™ Trials where you can qualify for the finals to be held at International Pizza Expo™ 2006. For two days you will have the opportunity to:
- Evaluate and compare products of exhibiting suppliers.
- Negotiate great deals on the spot.
- Meet key management and technical personnel who can answer your questions.
- Watch actual product demonstrations (featuring Chicago's own Pat Bruno), taste new samples and learn how you can add new items to your menu.
- See the amazing World Pizza Champions™ on stage with live exhibitions and participate in the World Pizza Game™ Trials.
- Discover tried and true marketing strategies; programs to increase your sales; how to control the cost of cheese; and how to manage a multi-generational workforce.
- Learn how to turn a good restaurant into a great business; how to choose the right POS system; and how to solve your dough problems.
